FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

WHERE IS MY LICENCE DISC?

Disky offers various methods to obtain updated information regarding the status of your renewal application.

To acquire additional information regarding the status of your renewal, please select one of the following methods:

STRUGGLING TO MAKE PAYMENT?

Disky provides all customers with the means to make payments on the Disky WhatsApp channel. 

There are currently three payment options to choose from:

  1. Debit / Credit card option (VISA/MasterCard)

  2. Ozow instant EFT

  3. Zapper payments

 

Disky will provide a payment link via WhatsApp for you to complete the transaction. Kindly follow the instructions that will be given and ensure compliance. Please be aware that your bank may send an OTP for verification via email or SMS.

 

Please note that the bank may request authorization of the transaction within their app, rather than sending an OTP. To ensure a smooth payment process and avoid any potential issues, it is important to complete the payment without delay

WHAT IF MY LICENCE DISC HAS ALREADY EXPIRED?

There is no need to worry if your license disc has already expired, the Disky service is still able to assist you in renewing your motor vehicle license. Our quoting system will automatically calculate the total amount due for payment, including all fees associated with renewing the license disc up to date and any late fees that may apply.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE BEFORE I WILL RECEIVE MY LICENCE DISC?

The renewal time may vary between metro and outlying areas. We commit to a delivery within 10 working days from the date of payment but we pride ourselves in faster deliveries. We have a high percentage of licence discs delivered within 5 working days.

MY RENEWAL STATUS SHOWS BLOCKED?

There may be opportunities for us to assist you in resolving a blocked status. Please take a moment to review the details of the blocked status provided below for guidance on the next steps to follow.

Additional Fees Required:

There are additional fees associated with your license disc due to the authorities' quoted license fee. Our support team will send you a notice along with an additional invoice. Upon payment of this invoice, we can proceed to unblock your license disc and initiate the printing process.

Other unlicenced vehicles:

Another one of your vehicles is currently pending renewal and is causing a hold on the issuance of this license disc. If you have another vehicle that also requires renewal, you can utilize the Disky WhatsApp once more, and we will process the new license disc using your identity number.

Roadworthy required:

Your license disc is associated with a status that necessitates your vehicle undergoing a roadworthy test. To address this, you will need to visit a physical roadworthy center. After your vehicle successfully passes the roadworthy test, please notify us using the contact information provided below.

Not owner of vehicle:

Your license disc is currently blocked because the registered vehicle owner does not match the identity document provided. Perhaps the vehicle is not registered in your name yet or an incorrect document provided during your application process. Contact our support team to provide correct owner information.

BRNC required:

Your license disc application was a business application, which mandates the submission of a BRNC document. Acceptable documents includes RC1, BRNC, or RCN document. Without this essential document, we are unable to process your renewal. Please send a copy of an acceptable document to our support team via email.

Temporary block:

Your license disc is currently under temporary blockage, but our vetting team is actively working to resolve this and will soon unblock the application.

MY RENEWAL STATUS SHOWS REFUND?

Your license disc has been marked for a refund, which could be a result of your request or the receipt of an irreversible block status from the authorities. If our support team has not already reached out to you, they will do so shortly. We kindly ask for your patience during this process, as it may take up to 5 working days for the refund to be processed and credited to your bank account. Refunds are associated with the below sub statuses.

Renewal not due:

Our vetting team has reclassified your license renewal to a refund status, as it has been determined that your license disc is not yet ready for renewal.

Liable for licencing:

Our vetting team has reclassified your license renewal application as a refund request because the vehicle in question is liable for licensing, and regrettably, this is not something we can assist with.

Unknown owner:

Our vetting team has reclassified your license renewal application as a refund request due to the current uncertainty regarding the owner of the vehicle. For further details and assistance regarding this matter, please don't hesitate to contact our support team using the provided contact information below.

Enforcement order:

Our vetting team has reclassified your license renewal application as a refund request because an enforcement order mark has been identified on your license disc. Regrettably, this is a matter beyond our scope of assistance, and you will need to visit your local traffic department to resolve this issue.

Unpaid transaction:

Our vetting team has reclassified your license renewal application as a refund request because there are outstanding, unpaid transactions associated with your license disc. Regrettably, we do not have access to the specific details of these unpaid transactions, and therefore, we must proceed with refunding your payment.

Admin mark:

Our vetting team has reclassified your license renewal application as a refund request because an admin mark has been identified on your license disc. Regrettably, this is a matter beyond our scope of assistance, and you will need to visit your local traffic department to resolve this issue.

Infringement:

Our vetting team has reclassified your license renewal application as a refund request because an infrindgement has been identified on your license disc. Regrettably, this is a matter beyond our scope of assistance, and you will need to visit your local traffic department to resolve this issue.
